Take a first look

The Kursalon in the Stadtpark opens its doors to everyone

Lindt &
Kursalon Hübner

Where history makes room for something new, two worlds rich in tradition meet at the Kursalon. Since the 19th century, the house in Vienna’s Stadtpark has shaped music and society; for generations, Lindt has stood for Swiss chocolate craftsmanship, pioneering spirit and masterful skill. In May 2027, a new chapter begins.

  1. Kursalon

    1818

    The Wasserglacis

The so-called Wasserglacis, on the grounds of today’s Stadtpark, is the Viennese people’s favourite promenade. Friedrich Pelikan opens a pavilion here for mineral water cures.

  2. Lindt

    1845

    The first solid bar

The first solid chocolate bar in German-speaking Switzerland.

  3. Kursalon

    1848

    Music at the Wasserglacis

Where people used to stroll and drink coffee, music now plays: Johann Strauss (father) conducts the Radetzky March at the Wasserglacis for the first time. Vienna cheers.

  4. Lindt

    1879

    Conching

The conching process changes chocolate forever.

Lindt Maître Chocolatier

The art behind the chocolate.
Shaped by experience, precision and
masterful skill.
